Michael & Chelsea Mauricio and their two sons, Zachary (20) and Nathan (16) are originally from San Diego, CA. They decided to move to Santa Fe in October 2016 to start a new chapter of their lives.

Michael came to Santa Fe to work with his old Navy shipmate, Cody Sanderson, helping him with his silver jewelry business while Chelsea has maintained her job in San Diego as an Advanced Life Support NICU nurse at Sharp Mary Birch.

After the Covid pandemic, which greatly affected them both, they decided to start their own business. Having traveled to Taiwan on several occasions, they thought a Boba Shop would be a great way to give their sons a place to work and hang out with their friends after school and on Saturdays.

Zachary is currently a Sophomore at SFCC taking General Education along with Automotive and Audio Production courses. He enjoys hanging out with his friends, singing Karaoke at Tumbleroot, playing video games, making props & cosplays and painting sci-fi miniatures to impeccable accuracy.

Nathan is an “A” student attending Santa Fe High School as a Junior and his hobbies are Volleyball, Volleyball and Volleyball! He plays for a club team called E3VB in Rio Rancho practicing 3-4 times per week and competes in tournaments all over the country playing in cities from Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Dallas, Orlando and Indianapolis just to name a few.

“We started on this crazy endeavor in August 2021, but due to Covid-19 restrictions, which caused major delays throughout the process, we were not able to open until January 11, 2023.

The Bubble King has since been our labor of love to provide a fun and inviting atmosphere for all of our customers to enjoy, young and old alike.”
